Fred, Fred, Fred...

Now the guy wants Muslim Immigration stopped.

Look, as an Evangelical Christian I understand and believe that Muslims have a false belief and worship a false God. Any Christian who takes the Bible seriously has no alternative but to hold to an exclusionist belief system.

And I also understand that, since 2001, Muslims have been quite active around the world in terrorist activities. I won't go into the issue of who to blame for that (since 2003 the levels of terrorist violence perpetrated by Muslims increased markedly. Hmmm, I wonder what happened in 2003 that got Muslims upset?), but I will point out the following:

* There is a difference between Muslims who are culturally Muslim, and those who adhere to a Fundamentalist approach to it.
* The vast majority of Muslims around the world are culturally Muslim and want nothing more than peace and harmony and the ability to just get on with their lives.
* There is a small amount of Muslims who have decided to take the Koran literally and apply it to the world of unbelievers and use violence to achieve that end.

I have no problem if Muslims want to come to Australia who are not fundamentalist but simply cultural in their beliefs. These people will not cause us problems. I have taught classrooms where Muslims are present and they can be just as good or bad as any non-Muslim. I even got Christmas cards from two Turkish girls who came to school each day without headscarves and who didn't really know much about Islam.

Christians today seem to forget that Muslims do not all follow the one belief system. We see Osama declaring Jihad against the West and sending planes into buildings and we are rightly shocked. But these people who come to Australia are not like this. They have come here not to start up a breeding program and conquer the country through the eventual enforcement of Islamic law, but to escape poverty and live in peace.

And remember, Christians, that every unbeliever who comes to us from these countries may have the chance to hear the Gospel of Christ - something that they may not have heard in their home countries.

Sorry, coding trouble.

‘“In the next fifty years we will capture the Western world for Islam. We have the men to do it, we have the money to do it and above all we are already doing it.” So said a Muslim religious leader at the opening of yet another Islamic centre – this time in Stokholm, Sweden.’

From a document by the . It really annoyed this Federal MP.

Having read large chunks of the Koran, I feel some sympathy for Fred's position and the aims of the pamphlet. Generic racism, no... but a public informed about the actual teaching of Islam, yes. Sadly the racism we know lurks everywhere could easily jump up if the actual contents of the Koran were widely known.

Blargh! I think that link is so long the code is interpreting it weirdly. D'oh!

The "Free Australia Movement" document is here.

I haven't done much research into them, but the "Free Australia Movement" seems, from the little research I have done, to be a right-wing group like National Action.

My opinion about Muslims is based upon the fact that I have met them and talked to them - both children and adults.

I don't care what the Koran says. It's what these people believe that counts. And, like Christianity, there is a big difference between what the holy book says and what the ordinary person believes.

It's time for some verses from the Quran.

1. I [Allah] shall cast terror into the hearts of the infidels [Non Muslims]. Strike off their heads; strike off the very tips of their fingers. That is because they defied Allah and His apostle. (8:12).

2. Fighting is obligatory for you, much as you dislike it. But you may hate a thing although it is good for you, and love a thing although it is bad for you. Allah knows, but you know not. (2:216).

3. The true believers [Muslims] fight for the cause of Allah, but the infidels fight for the devil. Fight then against the friends of Satan. (4:76).

4. Believers [Muslims] make war on the infidels who dwell around you. Deal firmly with them. Know that Allah is with the righteous. (9:123).

5. Prophet [Muhammad], make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites and deal rigorously with them. Hell shall be their home: an evil fate. (9:73; cf. 66:9).

6. When the sacred months are over slay the idolaters wherever you find them. Arrest them, besiege them and lie in ambush everywhere for them. (9:5).

7. Fight against such of those who have been given the Scripture as believe not in Allah…Allah (Himself) fighteth against them. How perverse are they! (9:29,30) Pickthall’s translation.

These two verses (7) were written about Christians and Jews after they rejected Muhammad’s religion, and cancel earlier verses that favoured them as ‘people of the book’ i.e. 2:62 & 5:69 etc. See “law of abrogation” later in “Islam, a religion of peace”.

As another Christian contact of mine says,
And also let's face it WHY do they want to come here when we don't do THINGS for them like segregated swimming pools and stopping the way our "harlots" dress.

WHY do they do need special treatment when other cultures and religions seem to blend in.

I think it's time for a long hard read of the F.A.M. document, and maybe a chat with Gladesville minister Andrew Mitchell. Gladesville supports a church ministry in Sulawesi Indonesia. Muslims that have lived peacefully for generations next to Christians are suddenly stirred up by radicals that come in and cause heaps of trouble. People my old church used to know have had their houses and church burned down, some murdered.

People should really get to know what the "parent-ideology" is before allowing adherents — even as nice as the girls you taught — to gain a critical mass in society. I know that sounds racist... but this is more about a malevolent belief system than any particular race.

Back onto "critical mass"...

As FAM say, A Muslim Imam recently boasted that in France Muslims are 10% of the population, but every second baby is born a Muslim! It has been reported that in Belgium “Mohammad” has been the mast popular name for baby boys for the last four years.

Here's a few things from the FAM document that they support:

An armed non-Muslim ‘National Guard’ similar to that in the USA needs to be trained and maintained to support the police who are intimidated in Muslim areas. If Muslims ignore gun laws this would be a wise move. Recent gun laws and the surrender of fire-arms has left the law-abiding non-Muslim population unable to defend itself.

So, a posse of whites armed with guns roaming around Auburn to "help the police"?

Proxy rule of Australia by the UNO should be resisted. All treaties with UNO should be cancelled.

(UNO would be United Nations Organisation I assume)

Stop buying Arab oil, as this helps finance the subversion of our democratic political system. Develop our own energy resources.

Cleanse all governmental departments of Muslim infiltration, and stop all pro-Islamic university courses.

I'm not going to read in detail what they say about Islam because it's obvious that they are unhinged.

"Unhinged" - without question, the word of the day.

And yet,... unless you have data otherwise, every 2nd baby in France is born into a Muslim family.

FAM might be unhinged... from my time in the peak oil movement, I have seen people become unhinged and recommending crazy stuff to solve what they see as a desperate problem. The fact that some become unhinged is no argument against the data itself.

The Koran does teach certain ideals. And much of Islam does believe them literally. The old liberal adage, "The Muslim fundamentalists are to Islam as the KKK are to Christians" does not stack up if one reads the Koran and statements by Muslim world leaders.

Why did they immigrate en-masse into France and Holland? Why did Holland pass laws against it? Why are there so many Muslim kids being born in France? What does Islam teach about the non-Muslim world?

I know this is all terribly un-PC, but just because this brochure is fairly extreme does not rule change the fundamental nature of Islam. They are driven by a mission to convert the world to Allah, and while some living here don't want that, many "over there" do.

I'm not supporting the Posse mind you! ;-)

Look at it this way. What's the Sydney Mission? (10% in Sydney-Wollongong by 2010). Whats the situation in France?
Go figure.
